A non-union job is a job not subject to SAG/AFTRA terms and conditions. That is EXACTLY what non-union means. It does not mean CHEAP, underpaid, exploitative, sell your birthright. It may mean 10-20% off but it certainly does not mean 10-20% left!

I stand here (clenched fist held high as a sign of solidarity) flat-cap on head and union badge shining brightly from the lapel of my grime-covered overalls. I shuffle my workmanlike boot on the cobbles and look chagrined...

I had a client just the other day say (in response to a quote for a national TV spot), "I'm looking for 'non-union rates'...that is like union rates!" To which I replied, "Non-union does not mean cheap, it just means that I currently chosen not to join the union."

Union doesn't EQUAL value and non-union does NOT equal Fiverr. I know what I'm worth. Great post Mr. Banks!
