Speaking of Edge, there is an occasional flub with authentication - that is, it just fails to let you log in successfully under cretain conditions. This has been encountered by a particular embedded system vendor and a major bank or two, and likely others. _________________ Finally, Ford stops starting to say things and starts. |

FWIW I decided to press the install button yesterday. Why not?... It was free... Couldn't be that bad. After the install... and I found myself in a cave... oh crap! I had no idea what to do or where to go. I like road signs on unknown roads. After about 30 minutes of being lost and confused, I found my way back home. Settings>Update>Security>Recovery.
Just my story. I'm sure there are many good advantages to upgrading, but I'll stick with 7 awhile longer. _________________ "Bailey"

Bear in mind that "everything" is not in Windows 10. By that, I mean there may be proprietary software you'll have to upgrade after you finish the Windows 10 upgrade. My desktop manufacturer has at least a dozen components that need to be upgraded (WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, bios, etc.) I also noticed Focusrite has beta software for my Scarlett. |

I am really enjoying Windows 10. I had a Surface Pro running Windows, 8 which I also didn't like but it definitely had its sore spots. I really think Microsoft nailed the concerns people had and made a really useful product.
I also like the new W10 machines I love that I can keep my Acer Switch in the room recording with me because it has no fan, an SSD drive and is completely silent. _________________ http://www.paulstefano.com |
