Another example of why "Windows" is the only thing we need to consider should Microsoft decide to compete with Google and Apple and build a self-driving car. _________________ Mike

That will be interesting to test. Is there any further detail available? I wonder if it isn't that certain devices write the file system in some slightly incorrect way, and Windows attempts to quietly "fix" it.
Would be interesting to compare an image of a memory card before and after, see what might be seen. _________________ Finally, Ford stops starting to say things and starts. |

Not interested enough in Microsoft to make this thread "anti-" them. It was meant to be humorous, yet it is worthy of consideration. I'll say no more. _________________ Mike

All cars have to have windows. Otherwise, you can't see out. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

That is a description of cars "as we know them today".
If I decide to invent and develop a DRIVERLESS car, do I need to keep the windows we know and love as part of the new design? We can assume the driverless-driver won't need them? |

There are those who love the air of windows down, so while windows may not be necessary, openings of some sort would be.
What I would love to see is a car that had all the interior surfaces (other than the floor and seats and controls and stuff) covered with flexible screens that displayed from cameras looking in all directions from the car. It would also have to adjust the display of the sun so as to eliminate any blindingly bright spots. |

That way when I say to the kids, ‘Please quit staring at your video screens and look at the scenery’, they can say, ‘but the scenery IS video screens’. Looking forward to THAT day! _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics
