Then there's Rocky Mountain mozzarellas, a favorite in the Old West of Italy.

By the way, between the fancy car rentals, first class rail travel, high end tourist itinerary, and exotic delicacies, I think we are all doing a splendid job of spending Philip's money for him. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

He's obviously not getting any suggestions from Jazz, Bess, and the Seals on the beach. _________________ "Bailey"

On this National Radio Day, worth noting that Billy Joel performs for the 66th time tonight at Madison Square Garden.
Make sure you have him playing in the CD player on your drive _________________ Ralph Hass

Yes if you kids don't grow up, we shall have to sack the lot of you!
I think you'd really enjoy Chicago, Philip. It's a great city.
Now then... in the interest of protecting Philip's wallet - You'd probably do very well in potential snow in a Ford SUV. They've learned a bit from making all those trucks over the years! The last one a rental company gave us was pretty tricked out.
Speaking of snow, if I may suggest modifying your route to wend somewhat more northerly, snowshoeing in the mountains is absolutely fabby. You could get a good tour company to provide you with a guide. (I can recommend a super one in Bend, Oregon, although I realize it's well north of your proposed trajectory.) Route 66 is a cool idea, and keep in mind that there are also many side trips off of larger highways that provide significant doses of historic Americana. _________________ jen@jengosnell.com

I can see the front page of The Sun now...
"Banks fills Ford tanks with Rover dough!"
