A client I've worked with in the past is asking if I can do a :10 tag for them,

Quote:
"that'll be added to promos for specific shows. I was wondering if you'd be able to voice the tag for us "

Should I get the amount of shows/promos they plan to use it for or a general in perpetuity usage fee?

Consider both scenarios
And is the show local, regional, national?

Do you know what the text of a typical tag would be? Most of the ones I do are date specific tags for when the road company of a particular show will be appearing at a local theater. For example, one that's been running recently has been appended to the open-ended commercial supplied by the touring company and says, "Seize the day with Newsies, coming to the Bushnell October 13th through the 18th. Tickets at Bushnell.org," so perpetuity is not really an issue.

Agree with Lee (which I’m getting pretty tired of). Promos are pretty short lived. And it depends if they run on Cable Channel(s) or Network. The chasm is pretty wide for pricing.

And considering they probably want an answer by now, what did you tell them?
