I think you'll be very happy with the ID22. It's definitely more flexible, and I'm sure I'll pick one up again if I find myself needing those extra features. It even works with ipad and the CCK! Very helpful if your computer fan gets too noisy (which can happen very often in the hot Nagasaki summer.)

Sweetwater's great. Glad to hear you had a good experience with them.

Just wanted to post an update. Got my audient. Words can't express. I was worried that the sound would be comparable. It's not. The audient is so much brighter, and amazingly quiet. I thought I was having technical trouble with the unit, and didn't think it was on, because I couldn't hear it. When my steinberg was on, there was a definite hum announcing it's presence.

(the pounding in the first half is because it's Christmas break, and I had 6 kiddos plunking around here. The giggle in the second half is my 2 year old. And I left it in, because it's indicative of how I feel. )
