Just renewed my subscription after letting it lapse months ago. For whatever reason I've had much better results through them compared to V123.
We hear alot about V123... but what are your thoughts/opinions on this lesser publicized business?

Tom,
I've had somewhat better income through Voice123.com than through Voices.com, but the quality of the leads (on average) is better from Voices.com. At least, I think so.
All in all, it's been well worth the relatively modest amount of money invested for the return I've received this past year. I too have renewed this month. _________________ Be well,

Tom,
We have had a lot of comment about the many "on-line Talent Pool sites" such as Voice 123, Voices.om, Commercial Voices.com, etc. (look into the archives - not so deeply - to find out).
Although I have not changed my personal opinion about these type of sites, there is one thing (O.K. - two) that must be said -
One: IF you "buy-on" to these sites YOU must market yourself and your link, because where else can you find this kind of exposure for that low of price? These "Talent Pool sites" are not designed to do the marketing for you, but are a way for potential clients to see who you are and what you do while offering you chances to audition for clients.
Two: DO NOT fall inot the trap of low bidding, you must know who you are in our business and what you are worth - do not accept less. Please do not lessen the entire VO world's business by under-cuttting payment in order to get work. It cheapens you and the rest of us VO Artists in the business by doing so.
This concludes my diatribe for today.
Toodles

I understand Frank. And I agree... I don't low bid.
I think that may have alot to do with the few jobs I actually get through these sites.
I usually bid at the upper end of the range or sometimes over if it's a big job. |
