VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Does anybody have any experience with Voicehunter.com? They are some amalgamation of a P2P and a casting site.

Another talent alerted me to it and when I looked I saw some pretty serious talent listed there, including some VO-BBers.

I was accepted there and paid a small fee for the privilege. Was just wondering what I should expect.

15 years ago they were THE PLACE to get promo work— man, they had the market. Their front page was the best real estate on the entire internet.
No sh!t.
To be listed on their site was a way to be found.

What should you expect now?
Nothing.
Expect no-thing.
Don't expect anything more than you get with any other pay-to-play.

I'd be interested to find out if they're sending out unique auditions.

Did the premium thing a number of years ago. $1300 at the time I think. Then it was "pay another $250 for this outdated mailing list" and "$x00" to be on our CD and "$x00 for this or that..." NOTHING. Well, maybe a couple of local Hooters in-store things that paid squat. Not a good experience. I like Gabby but overall it was yet another expensive waste.

Thanks Chris, so far it's been crickets. Aside maybe from Rodney Saulsberry following me on Twitter the day after I was listed there, which I assume is related. So that's a win right?

What Deebs said. At their prime they were killer great! They started my imaging career. They repped the best of the best.

Then they changed their business model. I've not seen a job or even audition for years. What I do get is offers to buy services. Very nickle and dime sorta stuff. Nothing I myself can't do on my own for free.

It's actually kinda heartbreaking because they were a class act, working only with A listers. They had a lot of clout and a lot of respect. Those I worked with were also terrific people!! I miss those days.

Well, that's depressing. Here I thought I had arrived because Bob and I were on the same roster Wink

I pre-paid the year so I'm stuck now. I'll update anything that comes of it as promised.
