Above is supposed an archive performance from 1964 of Petula Clark singing DOWNTOWN!

Oh Yeah!

Listen carefully. The performer pretending to be Ms Clark obviously forgot to turn off her cellphone as we hear her repeatedly receiving text messages!

OK... that hurt. Not the 1964 video itself, or the wonderful Ms. Clark (now 83), but watching a video further down the playlist of her performing the song on Jool's Hootenanny in 2013.... and then finding out she performed it in NY last year.

That's fifty years of being ever-present as part of the soundtrack of my life.
But wait, there's more... she actually started in the theatre in 1939 and was acting in films in the 1940s.

The next time I complain about feeling old, someone refer me back to this post!
