Skype DOES provide an output and input level control in Skype Preferences, so that's not a big deal. What IS a big deal is getting Skype to show up on Virtual inputs, which I've not been able to make happen, making it impossible for it to show up in the cans if you are using a CUE or HP buss. Skype only appears on the Mon L/R outputs. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

George, I've not been able to control Skype's output level in the Mac version, at least not when I'm using my Apollo interface, which is what I need to do. If you can point me to a way to do that, I'll be eternally grateful! _________________ Jack Daniel

Me too. Having to use a second interface for Skype output here. _________________ Colin Day - UK Voiceover

Thanks Eddie--I looked and it appears VoiceMeeter is available only for PCs. Curious, though: does it allow you to adjust Skype call volume as well as play back audio files?

I'm a little late on this thread... but i came across this:
https://rogueamoeba.com/loopback/
Now I don't have the Apollo Twin, but I'm wondering if this would work to control the Skype volume in the headphones as you can set Skype as a virtual device.
George, have you tried this software? _________________ Pax vobiscum

Zach, you and I have conversed off-board, but for the sake of others dealing with this...
I did figure out the Skype thing. Or rather they did—a couple of months ago they updated the Mac version to allow me to change the monitor volume. So [from the Audio/Video Settings tab under Preferences] I simply lowered that, and now I have control over my headphone volume. Such a relief—most clients use phone patch or Skype (I actually use a Skype phone number as my phone patch) and so it was killing my ears. Which, I am given to understand, is a bad thing.
Hope this makes sense. If anyone is experiencing Skype volume-in-the-can issues, I'm very happy to make this clearer. _________________ Jack Daniel
