Anyone have a good ergonomic mat you can recommend for when you do long sessions standing up?
Looking for something that will not pass along my movements to the mic, but also feels good.
Any suggestions ? _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland

Thanks Todd for the suggestion but that Mat might be a bit too springy _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland

I'd look in cooking supply. Have seen some meant for that purpose. |

Agree that kitchen mats might work, but also consider footwear. I wear those hideous but super comfy Crocs. They also have the benefit of being very inexpensive. _________________ Jack Daniel

Hoka Running shoes have an extremely cushy bottom. I only run in mine but know some people who stand a lot an swear by them. |

Thanks gents for the tips about checking for mats marketed for the kitchen.
It's only when I search for ergonomic mats for computer work stations do I find anything here, and they are expensive. But A-zone in the States has some good deals I found using your search suggestions
Even with shipping to Europe they might be cheaper than what I can find here locally !
I have some comfy slippers that I sometimes use when recording but want something more to deaden any vibrations from my movements going through the floor to the mlc. Or would it be better to get a rycote mic holder to handle that issue ? _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland

Mac, I'm with the others on either getting footwear or just a simple thick mat. Those Crocs can remain in the studio and never see the light of day, ugly as they are. I never hear anything good about their looks, yet I hear everything remarkable about their comfort. |

I've been really happy with my Topo mat - http://ergodriven.com/topo/
To be fair, I don't use it inside the booth - it is at my standing workstation.
I don't think it makes a lot of noise.
Probably more expensive than most options, but I really like the "mixed terrain". _________________ www.mattcowlrick.com |

Thanks MB for the tip!
Though the price might be high for the one you referenced, that is the average price for this kind of mat here.
Have to check out the Azone shipping cost. _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland
