Wait, you're waiting for what and why? A lightbulb moment for me at 10.30 am on Saturday 3rd December 2016.
The view from my room on the 37th floor of The Residence Inn by Marriot was spectacular and while I waited New York was waiting for me. The sleepers slept, the texters didn’t text, the emailers didn’t email, the messengers didn’t message, no knock on the door and no one in the hotel advised me that a friend had just arrived.
“You’ve really got to stop doing this, Philip” I said out loud.
I reached into my pocket and took a box containing a neck chain with a little dingle dangle on it (technical term to impress you with my knowledge of jewellery) and tossed it into the waste bin. Without pausing for an inst let alone an instant I grabbed my coat and phone then headed out.
Within reason, from the above date and time I’ve stopped waiting. Here’s the thing. I don’t wait and no one keeps me waiting!
