I just sent out my first VO newsletter in ages yesterday and was pleased with the reaction. So far 51% have opened it and the click through rate is over 15%. Normal figures are about 25% opening and 2.5% click through.
I'm the last one to praise my work (I can't tell you how much back and forth I went through before I hit 'send') but in case you didn't get one and would like to see it, here's a link. Please pardon the "Hi |First Name|" opening. The program fills it in for recipients.

Rock on! Those are awesome numbers. Connie's right though, you're making the rest of us on Mailchimp look bad. 
How often do you send out a newsletter typically?

Here are the stats for today which are not much different from the first day and a half:
Open rate: 53%, Clicks per unique opens 16.7%, Click rate 8.8%
I guess there are two kinds of "clicks".
I'm thinking since it has been ages since I sent one of these folks were kind enough to give it a look before tossing it. I also tried to make it "sexy" with the Samsung surfboard and Heidi Klum in a skimpy brassiere.
All bets are off on the next edition but I am working on another eye grabbing topic and images.
