|
|
You ever have your pointer (mouse) jump all over the screen for no reason at all?
I can leave the mouse untouched and the pointer will all of the sudden shoot over 'here' and then over 'there' like it got into the High Speed Chicken Feed or something.
I've posted in forums and the manufacturer of the mouse (current one: Logitech) and troubleshot some steps they provided but doesn't fix anything.
This problem has been happening since my previous mouse (wired silent nexus) and continues (and probably worse) with the latest mouse (wireless, USB dongle).
Here's what I've tried....
-new mousepad,
-firmware updates
-moving USB plug into different slot
Nothing seems to help.
Info about my setup: MacBook Pro 15 inch Retina with Elago Thunderbolt 2 docking station. 2 monitors (1 thru dock, 1 plugged directly into laptop thunderbolt input).
The mouse (wired) is plugged into a powered USB hub. When I had the wireless mouse plugged in the USB dongle would either be in the keyboard input or the powered USB hub.
I plugged the old wired (nexus) mouse back in and the problem is not so bad so I guess that's a start but the issue is still there and it's annoying as hell.
I've had this issue for quite a while but it's not really a 'VO' thing so I haven't posted here about it until now. All the other resources (forums, manufacturer) have proven fruitless for a resolution.
Thanks! _________________ www.moosevoice.com |

First thoughts,
- you have a neighbor who has a mouse with the same digital signature as you, or some other bluetooth signal is coming through
- dirt in the mouse causing erratic movements (definitely a problem in the old mouse days)
- batteries running low
Hey, we tried.

Following Bruce's observation: See if turning off Bluetooth yields results. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Just moving around. It'll dart quickly up and then quickly another way. I'll have it on something I'm trying to click on and as I click it'll have moved over a different thing and click on that. VERY annoying _________________ www.moosevoice.com |

Russians are using your mouse to influence elections.
I would bet it's some sort of infrared interference with the signal. I stick with a corded mouse. _________________ Art Howard.com |

They're cheap and could eliminate a few possibilities!

I tend to stick to corded devices, too, for better reliability.
Last thing I need is to have paramedics show up and say, "We got a report that you'd fallen and couldn't get back up." _________________ Mike

Really... you will have it on something and when you click, it flies to another object and clicks on it? I am wondering if there is a malware program running on your machine? |
