I get around to things so long overdue I send my mic to Sennheiser for a service. Fixed price including delivery and tax, £390.
Those Sennheiser brothers, Helmut and Chinstrap did the following.
Replaced capsule, replaced body, reworked grill, cleaned xlr. In effect I have the same "broom" but with a new handle and brush. Awesome value! |

Was there something about the mic's performance that caused you to have it serviced, or is that something that should be done every (how many) years? _________________ Mike

Not been touched for around 10 years, that was reason enough to sent to the Doctor,
"Cough!" |

Pretty much a complete rebuild for 15% of the price of a new one? Not bad at all.

You got a brand new capsule, housing, grill and service for £390?! Wow! Was that through High Wycombe? I think they missed a 1 off the price _________________ Colin Day - UK Voiceover

Yes it was, so genuinely genuine! I read the details on the invoice and reached for my debit card having already paid the "fixed price" service fee. Balance due - Nil. Gawd bless 'em |
