Yeah, a good old respiratory infection with razor blade etched throat, and phlegmy chest is no fun. I deserve it though. Worked long hours for a month with not enough sleep. Luckily I got my last political spot done last night despite the "special effects" in my head.
I had to turn a couple of spots for a convenience store chain over to someone else today. Just no energy plus I sound like some evil beast at my best. I'm not too upset though. Trying to cram 100+ words into :30 spots is pretty tiring no matter how healthy.
Soup, Mucinex, a big box of Kleenex, and movies to fall asleep to will be my weekend, dang it.

And WATER. Don't forget plain ol' water. Lots of water. The best thing fer what ails ya. 'Specially with Mucinex.

For what it's worth--and I doubt it's much--I had a cold last week that I managed to chase away before it got bad. My throat and ear  were in pain, though at a low level. I used liquid zinc and stuff called Cold-Away and, miracle of miracles, the beastie retreated. This is hardly settled science or anything, but I post in the hope that this helps someone else beset by viral invasion.
