heya gang, do you find that a good gym sesh leaves you a little hoarse and lacking nasal resonance and that its tough to hack it afterwards?
Do you guys have any heuristics or strategies you use to stay healthy but also sound healthy, or is this just an "Ian" problem?

Powerful exertion in a dry environment will impede your instrument, definitely. Either save the intense stuff for after a day's work, or stick with low intensity until you can free up some space in the schedule.
This is especially true if you're regularly doing metcons and fast WoDs in CrossFit. |

I only find that I get a hoarse or scratchy quality to my voice if I've used a pre-workout drink or energy gels. As far as I've noticed.
I can usually tidy that up if I ramp up the hydration early enough before first recordings/after my training.
It's all fairly anecdotal at this point...it hasn't ever caused any series problems. I do more endurance sports than gym workouts, so YMMV. _________________ www.mattcowlrick.com |
