I switched from my desktop for just a little bit. It is a LENOVO. There is a crackle pop type of noise. usb connected mic. Wondering if I need to upgrade the soundcard. Any ideas? _________________ Lynn |

There's a small list of things to check for crackle I'm sure, and one easy thing to try is use a different USB cable. They don't go bad often, but they can.

Here I am thinking of everything other than standard troubleshooting. It will be a few hours before I get back home and then I can check this out. _________________ Lynn |

Before upgrading the sound card, try updating the sound card's driver. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

First, should have been back to report in. New cord made a huge difference. Driver update is always a good idea.[/list] _________________ Lynn |
