sometimes alibaba is great - mass qualities of small items, really. things that will kill you: shipping (DHL large container shipping) tariffs & import duties. DHL is a great help with the latter two as they change all the time.

also - chinese new year starts feb. 5 everything shuts down for 2 weeks.

I had a quick look... I guess you're looking at a SZ Acoustic booth. Don't do anything without checking the actual shipping cost (to your door) and any duties payable.

... and even if it's cheaper... I'd brace yourself for severe disappointment. I wouldn't even consider buying something like this without seeing one in person. Even a regular Whisper Room (basic) needs more money thrown at it to be usable as it has only a single wall and minimal interior treatment. I honestly don't think it will be fit-for-purpose... and the only way you'll know for sure is to see one before slapping down the cash.

... I should add that I wouldn't even consider a basic single wall Whisper Room either... one of my agents has one... and it's really crap at both isolation and treatment.

If you are looking to get a booth and don't want to lay out the money for a Studio Bricks (or something of similar quality)... try and find a local carpenter who know's what you're trying to achieve and get a quote on a double-walled booth and then treat the inside yourself (get a quick consult from George Whittam).... and go for 6x4 or similar (5x3)... a square box will only buy you more problems with reflections and reinforcement of the stuff you don't want. (trapezoid shapes are good!).

I tried (stood inside) a Studio Bricks booth at Vox a couple of years ago and it was as efficient as a Tea Bag in terms of (a) Keeping noise out. (B) Keeping noise in ( C ) Not sounding like I was in a box.

Get someone to build one or get someone to build one or build it yourself.

Constructing a booth that truly isolates you from noise requires extremely dense material. That means $$$, including the shipping. IMO your best bet is to find a pre-owned Whisper Room, which would probably save you 30-50% compared to purchasing new.

Check aliexpress for one with an eticket shipping. Building your own is a lot more fun and a lot less expensive though (in my humble opinion).
