Erik Sheppard, nice guy and agent to some of us, has been doing a series of video interviews with some of the busier members of our profession. I'm sure they're all fine people but the sessions I've sampled have been relatively meh on the part of the guests.... that is until this latest one. Tom Kane has by far one of the most varied rosters of characters he's played and is pleasant and delightfully modest about his successes. If you've got a spare 90 minutes you might enjoy it.

Dunno about "pleasant." This Kane fellow just called me an idiot.
I concede to occasionally looking for my glasses while they're on my face, habitually locking my keys in my apartment, and being terrible at math. But I think that jab is a shade over the line of pleasant ribbing. _________________ * * * * * * * * * *

Then consider my compliment stricken from the record!

I am happy to report that is not the same Tom Kane.
And please take into consideration the source of the idiot comment: a man who is knowingly promoting himself with the same name as a legendary voice actor. |

Thank you so much for the clarification, Dan! It seemed awfully odd to me.
This Pseudo-Kane seems to be a real piece of work. I'm sorry that he appears to be dragging the good name of the Original Kane through the muck by being such an unpleasant person. Perhaps we should alert the Original Kane to these shenanigans? I know that other voice actors have had their logos/taglines/demos/etc. stolen by unscrupulous hooligans before. Perhaps they can give some advice on how to proceed? _________________ * * * * * * * * * *

Looks like legendary Tom has a photo of Yoda and lists Warner Bros. on his profile. "Other" Tom has a pic of himself and his mic.
Thanks for the link, Bruce - good interview so far. |
