er, actually it's 'Pro Tools First.'
Wasn't sure if most people were aware but thought I'd throw out there that Pro Tools has a free version.
Looks like it's got quite a few plugins available and you've got more than enough tracks to mess around with (16).
I, like you, probably have a DAW already that we like and use but I like to tinker.

This is a great DAW, I've used it numerous times, but beware of its limitations, you can only save up to 3 projects but the basic lineup of plugins are very good especially the compressor and EQ. I must say that I do love the clean interface of ProTools. |

Sounds interesting.. googled a bit and learned one can actually save as many projects as desired locally on the host computer. It is a maximum of 3 projects that can sync to the cloud to share for anytime, anywhere access and collaboration. That's not what I do, and as I have the time and curiosity, think I'll check it out. _________________ If attacked by a mob of clowns go for the juggler.

The Compressor would probably be the best I've ever used and is really good at just taming some peaks before sending your recording out. The de-esser and gate are tops and the EQ I found to be very usable, it's not harsh, just sounds great. Really for many VO's it has everything you need, and like you say.....it's free. |
