Well are you or would you like to? Be nice to know your thoughts on what you hope to put in and get out of it apart from the social side of the event.

Philip,

Yes, I'm going. I've already paid my registration and airfare and next week I'll reserve my room. (I talked with the hotel today and they assured me the group reservations will be ready to book on Tuesday, January 2nd.

While the social aspect will be fun, I'm sure, my main reason for going is because I'm committed to continually learning.

Given that the folks who will be there for sure (Rodney Saulsberry, Bob Bergen, MJ Lallo, Frank Frederick, Connie Terwilliger, Deirdre, etc.) are all people from whom I can learn. (For example, the preparatory homework for Frank's session is already an excellent exercise and it's not even 2007 yet.)

One of the areas where I need the most help is with the marketing part of the business. And one can never know too much about how to interpret copy. Those are two key areas in which I believe I will gain valuable knowledge and insight.

Banksey,

I am definately going to VOICE. I might just learn something from some of the great folks who are presenting information during this "experience". With great folks such as:

D. B. Cooper,
James Alburger,
Penny Abshire,
Connie Terwilliger,
Dave Courvoisier,
Rodeney Saulsberry,
MJ Lallo,
Bettye Zoller,
Bob Bergen,
Chris Wagner,
and Gregory Best
in the line-up, there is bound to be something I can learn.

See you in Las Vegas, Nevada U.S.A. in March?!?!

And if I learn anything it will be not to gamble away all my money playing the tables... or not.

Toodles

I'm certainly looking forward to going.

I've got stuff to share that I—unbelievable as it sounds—haven't beaten to death here. AND I'm looking forward to learning new ways to approach old habits.

Plus--I'm looking forward to meeting people I've known for years.

Yep! I'll be there!
I already registered (proud to say I was the first one to register! - I even got a call from Frank!...my IExplorer crashed & I hadn't downloaded my registration packet yet & he was great in sending me what I needed! - THAT's customer service!)

I'll be booking my airfare & hotel next week!
(UPDATE: I just booked my flight!)

I'm looking forward to learning what I can from those that have been in the trenches a wee-bit longer than I have! Seriously, I'm going dressed as a sponge so that I can soak it all up!

The line-up looks awesome!

I hate to sound like a bonehead - but this conference - when is it? Is there a website to check it out and sign up? Thanks for any info you can provide.

:)Tammy

Frank,

Not that I want to dispute one of the organizers, but I'm pretty sure the 26th is the Monday that week. And that V.O.I.C.E. begins on the 27th in the evening.

As we say up here in New Hampshire, I'm WICKED psyched about going to Voice 2007! It's gonna be pissah! Sticking out Tongue

I'll tell you what I'm most excited about. Well, the chance to soak in information from that amazing list of VO talent/ presenters is a given....above and beyond that I'm looking forward to meet, mingle, kibitz, learn, laugh, hear war stories, share some war stories of my own, float some ideas, pick some brains, get motivated to bring my own VO business to the next level and have a general all around good time with other human beings who understand what I do in my basement all day behind closed doors....wait, that didn't sound right....Wink

Here in the great white north when I tell someone I do Voice Overs for a living, I get that deer in the headlights smile from people...maybe it's different in major markets. It will be awesome to spend four days with kindred spirits who also make a living behind the mic.

It's also a chance to get out of New England in the middle of "mud season"!

that's what I'm looking forward to,

moe[/b]

I've just completed my hotel reservation this evening, so now I'm all set. Conference registration is paid. Flight is purchased. Hotel is reserved. All that's left is the waiting.
