Got an email yesterday and for just $99 I can be a Gold All Star Member for the rest of my natural days on Earth.
I understand having a website "under construction" with lots of place holding bits, but to send out emails pushing for new members and have them land on incomplete pages....[YOUR AD HERE!] [COMING SOON!] [404 PAGE NOT FOUND] ... sheesh.
https://www.allstarvoices.com/
And from comments I've seen they've put people and companies on there without asking their permission. Double sheesh.

I just saw this post and thought... "That rings a bell!"
I went back and found it in my inbox... it seems I had already ignored it
The message highlights a couple of people I know... so I have to go and look now. Curse you all... I was perfectly happy in my blissful ignorance. Now I have to check it out and waste my time shaking my head in disbelief and pondering things like... "What is the relative value of a $99 for life membership deal when I'm in my sixties, as opposed to the value given to some young whippersnapper in their twenties?" Is this ageism? _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

You gotta ask yourself, “you feeling lucky punk? Was it five bullets or six?”
Ooops sorry. Some movie came to mind.
You gotta ask yourself, “I’ve got a hundred bucks allocated for marketing right now. Do I spend it on a sloppy talent site with no clear signs of viability, or do I spend it on a lesson from a mentor I trust, or on a programmer’s tweak of my website, or beer and a pizza party for friends? Some decisions are not too hard.

It's the life of the website, so whether you're in your 20s or your 60s, it doesn't matter. Either way, you will out-live it. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

I looked up "what are the oldest websites" and a very few from 1985 and 86 are still around (and look like it). So it looks like 30 years or so is the longest lifespan one can imagine right now.
Of all the species that have lived on Earth well over 99% have gone extinct over time, so our position of being an ongoing entity is a bit precarious anyway. Live every day like it's your last?

...and it doesn't help when at the site your browser gives you this message:
"Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead
Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.allstarvoices.com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details."
(it does not instill confidence)

Geez, I kinda feel left out. I did not get the memo on this site.... (shrugs).
I guess I am not a member of the elite few who can call themselves an All * Voice
