my sm58 smells like sweat and bud light. i call it "the waffle house" because it's been dropped, stomped, thrown, swung & dunked.

I think you could hammer a nail with an SM58 and not do a lot of damage to the mic or the nail.

Ditto the EV RE-20, which is why it's such a staple in radio studios everywhere... they're DJ-proof.
