A company for whom I did a narration in the fall has just launched. The narration is on their home page here. Don't worry, you have to click to hear it, so it shouldn't frighten you too much.

I don't usually post this stuff but they sound like they provide a useful service for people who can't or don't want to cope with ebay.

Good job!

And I like their service. I have several dozen (New in Box) LOTR action figures I'm ready to sell but really dreaded running the eBay gauntlet to find them a new home.

I LOVE this tutorial.

It's so wonderfully voiced.
What a great combination of casting and character creation.

Nicely done, Mary. I have a sudden craving for scones or Devonshire cream however.

One of the key thing about this (other than the great talent) is that there was a fun concept and a good script.

I probably missed some jobs because I changed the audition script! On the other hand, I have also landed a few jobs because I changed the script.

I did one yesterday where they wanted a conversational read - not a screamer spot - but the copy was typical used car sale style. That had to be tweaked. [Edit: Just got the notice that "they were considering other talent for the job." Win some - lose some] And when you get those scripts written for the American English speaking audience written by non native English speakers, I feel a certain obligation to make some changes.

Luckily most of my work is not off auditions these days (referals, repeat, cast off the demo, agents, Internet), so I'm not risking the mortgage money.

Good points Connie.

One of the reasons I got this job is that I did change the script when I auditioned, and added sound effects to go along with my changes. They told me I had "raised the bar and set the standard". I liked that.

Interesting though that in the end there were no sfx or music at all. E.g. no sounds of crashing pandemonium when that closet opens.

Thanks for the kind words guys Kiss Embarrassed Kiss Embarrassed Kiss
