Being in the company of my esteemed 'boardies' I felt compelled to share my feelings on what was recently posted in reply to a recent request for a demo critique concerning "critique fatigue". Here is a link to an article I published several months ago on the topic:
If You Can't Take the Criticism, Don't Ask For It!
You may or may not agree with me and that's... okay!
FYI - this doesn't mean I have given up critiquing... hell, there are times when I want feedback, too. It just gets very frustrating when one takes the time to listen CRITICALLY, then takes the time to respond in kind only to be confronted by the critiquee.
I also realize most professionals handle critique the way in which it is intended. And, I single out nobody on this board nor do I point attention in any particular direction herein. |
