VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

I thought this was worth sharing for a sense of perspective.

Today 8.30 am AWFUL due to work related matters. Task management issues. I am pretty certain that at the peak there was smoke coming out of my ears and my blood pressure could've started a jet engine. I was NOT a nice person to know (more so than usual). 10am Matty called to tell me that Mel, mother of three (oldest just turned 13) had died. If Mel could call me now it would be to say "How are you enjoying your life Mr Banks? Just checking because I DON'T HAVE ONE!"

We often inflate our annoyance, inconvenience, or indignation into a major crisis.
This gives it some real perspective. Her children must be heartbroken and in real pain.

You REALLY could not make this up!

At some point late last night I received a message via Whats-a Hobo Tounge

from Rob.

"Mum is in ARI (Aberdeen Royal Infirmary) and has been diagnosed with COVID. Me and Colin(his brother) are allowed to visit, other than that, no one!"

Mum is my ex-wife Anne. Rob and Colin her sons. The prognosis? Unlikely to make it beyond the next 48 hours.

Unless there is nothing short of a miracle. Two boys will lose their Mum and 4 boys will lose their Grandma.

I have no words to express how I feel about this, none.
