|
|
I've not done a bunch of audiobooks so I'm a little lost here.
For the appendix...Do I read off the 'web address listed?'
Example:
Quote: |
Kemp, Simon. “WhatsApp Is the World’s Favorite Social Platform (And Other Facts).” Hootsuite (blog). April 22, 2021. https://blog. hootsuite.com/simon-kemp-social-media/. |
My instinct is to read everything but don't want to submit it with the whole web address if that's not done.
Again, not a seasoned audiobook narrator here.
Thanks so much. _________________ www.moosevoice.com |

I’ve only recorded a few books with appendices and in all cases the publisher decided not to record them. They contain way too much minutia for the casual audiobook listener to deal with. If you have to read it I’d see if you can compromise. Footnotes are usually part of a book to prove the author had legitimate sources, not for readers to follow up on. I’d be tempted to read it as - Author, Title, from the Hootsuite blog at Hootsuite dot com - and that’s all.
But again I’d see if you can avoid recording them at all.

Thanks Bruce. The author's pretty chill so I don't think it'll be a hard compromise to negotiate. _________________ www.moosevoice.com |
