Hi, everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone is using Zephyr Xstream via internet rather than ISDN line: today these devices are madly cheap on ebay. I got myself a brand new unit and configured it. Reall wonder how it sounds when connected to the same remotely I can hear myself well via http protocol in the browser on LAN and WAN - the quality is awesome!
If anyone could test it with me, would great _________________ Best,

I'm sorry Pavel, but the last mourners for ISDN devices left the vigil a couple of years ago. While technically I gather what you've got works, most serious studios, engineers, and voice actors are using the simple Internet software based programs out there such as Source Connect, iP/Dtl, and all the other contenders. No more gadget boxes, no more monthly charges (in most cases), just click on a couple of buttons and you're connected.
Hey, dealing with all that mechanical rigamarole was fun while it lasted. I still remember the excitement of my first home based ISDN session, talking with someone 2,000 miles away and them sounding like they were in the next room. Now I do it several times a month without thinking about it. A lot of us are donating our old boxes to electronic recyclers. Let them retrieve the valuable metals so we don't have to rely on the wily Chinese or Russians (sorry dude) as much for them.

Oh, Bruce, trust me I know!
I myself have source connect BUT My curiasity for such technology got the best of me lol I bought it for 60 bucks and it works so well
via internet just like source connect it provides the same result and no pc involved. Amazing! I still see these boxes in studios though. Perhaps they have it as a back up option.
Xstreme could be used via internet and connect to other xstream devices. I can let clients monitor sessions just by web link; that' s still useful and fun
At any tate, I am glad this question brought me back to this wonderful place where it all started many years ago. Practically family. Every time I say to myself that I need to come here more often... I will be better, I promisse _________________ Best,
