To me, the issue surrounding an A.I. version of your own voice is not that it exists or could be created, but who owns it and controls its use.

"...to pay tribute to his wonderful performance" should read "...trying to see if we can avoid paying his estate or anybody else for the artist's art".
PREDICTION / NEW BUSINESS IDEA:
"Watermarking" implants. They'll go somewhere in your neck around the vocal cords. They will not affect the sound of your voice in open air or when recorded, but will add some kind of scrambling to make it impossible to stitch bits of your voice together otherwise. If we hurry, we can package it with an at-home installation kit - maybe include a soldering iron and some saltines.
