Is anyone in or will anyone be in SanDiego, and like to meet with me for drinks or dinner or just to chat? I will be on a business trip, arriving in SanDiego sometime on the afternoon of February 13th and will be departing San Diego on early morning of the 16th. I will be in meetings all day the 14th and 15th, but I am free all evening on the 13th, 14th and 15th starting at around 5 or 6 pm each day or whenever I get back to my hotel after work each day. I would love to hang out with any of you that might be available and interested. I'm really a fun guy....ask Frank! hahahahaha _________________ TG2

That's a month from now... can't say for sure. I've got some things going on in the middle of February... but if it can happen I'll let you know. Maybe Connie or Greg could be free? _________________ "Bailey"

I know it's a bit of a ways away and it's hard to know exactly whether it's going to be doable, but I figured I'd rather throw it out there kind of early so at least people know, than to wait too long and everyone already has things planned. It's ok if no one wants to or can't do it. I just thought it would be one of my only opportunities to actually meet some of you folks that are in the area, and I'm locked into those particular dates since it's work related. _________________ TG2

sadly, I'm in another time zone, and will not be in SD anytime soon. |
That would be Greg Allen in Lakeside. And there's always Jim Alburger and Penny Abshire. _________________ "Bailey"

Tom, I have an all day business trip with my wife who is speaking at a conference in Garden Grove on the 14th (Yep, Valentine's Day) . Possibly on the 15th, we'll have to see when it gets closer. A lot going on right now.

I was there on biz last June for about 8 days and spoke with Connie about possibly using her place if some emergency VO came through. She was very sweet about it but never had to bug her.
SD is a very nice place...interesting how the airport is right on the water and the planes landing path sometimes flies them right past the buildings...so close like I've never seen before.
Check out a great little restaurant with flying wine angels, Osetra. Also the roof top bar in the Hotel Solamar is fun at night. _________________ - Peter

The planes ALWAYS fly by the buildings - they'd be off course if they didn't.
I have two suggestions - we could all meet up at In Cahoots in Mission Valley on Tuesday the 13th at 6:30ish - learn a line dance then do some two-stepping - $2 drinks - good cheap food. Karaoke starts at 9.
The other option is for us all to meet at my place in Kensington on Tuesday or Wednesday and walk down to one of the lovely little eateries in my neighborhood. The jacuzzi will be hot for after dinner drinks and conversation. (California is a swimsuit optional state, if you didn't know.)
I have Tap Class on Thursday evening until 7:30 - can't miss that! _________________ Playing for a living...

Connie....Option 1 or 2 sounds great to me. Whatever the majority wants. I've never line danced in my life despite what the cowboy hat in my AV might suggest.....hahahaha. I am completely out of my element in San Diego. I don't know how to get anywhere. I will probably find it difficult to locate my hotel from the car rental place. lol The thirteenth is the best day because that's the day I arrive and will be free from the moment I get checked into my hotel. I haven't made the reservations yet so I don't exactly know what time I arrive, but I'm thinking I'll be all checked in by mid afternoon. The 14th and 15th I'm free after my work day is done....I'm assuming I'll be done by 5pm and back to my hotel by 6pm at the latest on those days. Anyway....keep in mind I'll probably be completely lost as far as how to get anywhere so the easier it is from my hotel the better....lol I'll more than likely be staying in the Hilton, San Diego Mission Valley, or one of the other hotels right by that one. Do you know where that is? _________________ TG2
