Here's one that drives me nuts:
"INCIDENCES" ????
What the hell is it? <shrugs>
My best guess is that someone, some time, decided to merge the words, "incident" and "instance" together. However, when and how did Americans pick it up as acceptable use? I hear it all the time. |

It's a confusion of incidence and incident.
You can have more than one incident-- two incidents.
But if you confuse the aforementioned words, you might think there have been two incidences.
