Same to you PaddyO....and to all the sons and daughters and grandsons and grandaughters of the Emerald Isle~ Slainte! ("To your health" in Irish Gaelic).
My grandmother came over from Ireland alone at 16 on a Coffin Ship...and never became a US Citizen. She always told me two things - "I was born Irish I'm goin' ta die Irish."...and "Always remember, ya come from kings." So March 17th in my house is a high holy day.

Now I shall celebrate the Patron St of Ireland by shoveling out from all this snow in New England!

Happy St Patty's Day! Even though it's only an hour and a half from being over for us...And even though I'm French/Amercian Indian (and a couple of other non-Irish things) and my husband is Polish...we still wear green today!
We were invited to a party...that begins at 11pm!!  I've never heard of such a thing...needless to say- we won't be making it!!
