heh, there was a big to-do about this earlier. I sent my reel for an audition and they came back and said they weren't interested in me for this spot, but they would like to "represent" me. and all I had to do was sign the forms at a certain web location.
Actually READING the docs, they demanded to know any time you weren't in the studio, a several hour turnaround time, and unlimited pickups if the client didn't "like" the way you read something.
And they pay $10 per reading. What a gig!

No, I was insulted that that's all they thought I was worth. Apparently the KNEW you were worth more!

Same here... I sent them my demo yesterday as well in reply to the job posting that was here yesterday. I sent them my "thanks but no thanks note" this evening.

"Leads" are posted here either personally by members or are reposted from elsewhere when they look interesting. I don't expect all repostings of job possibilities to be vetted because I know the good nature of the people who take the time to post them here.
In the case of a re-posted talent-seeker being less-than-reasonable with their budget, I appreciate your restraint when the job comes from here.

| It's a best practice anyway I think. Even if they are low from a budget perspective it is best to put on a happy and professional face so no bridges are burned. Who knows when your paths with cross again and a bad impression could haunt you down the line. |
