VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Hi Everyone,

I've had my website redone with more color and some shape to it that hopefully matches the tone of my demos (youth, fun, upbeat, vibrance, etc).
I do want to share it with all the patient folks who have been gracious enough to critique my old site. But before I post it I want to add a detail here and there.
My current concern is whether or not to include a Bio. I have browsed member websites here and elsewhere online over and over again. But so many people have years or experience and client lists. I have none, as of yet anyway.
So I'm wondering if I need a Bio at this time. Perhaps I could have a short paragraph mentioning a little of who I am and what I want to do (As a voiceover talent).
What do you guys think?
Should I have a Bio, and if so what should I put in it?
If not, is it alright to have a simple website with my demos and contact info? Just for the time being?

Every site is different, but in the case of a VO talent's site, I feel like if it's gonna get you work or impress somebody who can give you work, then include it. If not, I'd probably leave it off.

You should put info on your website that will help you. I know this sounds like a Captain Obvious moment, but ask yourself:

Will a limited bio get you work?
Not on it's own. You need a solid demo and a website that sells your services as being unique.

Will admitting you have little experience get you work?
Nope. Unless the client wants super-cheap VO and thinks that's what you offer.

Will leaving out a bio hurt you?
Doubtful.

I would say a bio is of secondary or tertiary importance. The first is your reel followed by your ability to sell your services and show you have something to offer that the other guys don't. Do those two things well and the bio is inconsequential.

In a bio you need to show only one thing. There are people out there who trust you enough to use you and these people are NAMES.
