VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Hi there, VO-BB-ers!

Long-time lurker, first-time caller! I've been reading this BB for a couple years now and thought I'd join in the fun.

A little about me: I've been doing promos and docs for the Discovery Channel networks for over 5 years now (I'm the billboards guy on all their networks, plus other promos). I do some radio imaging, and all those other oddities that come from being a VO. I once did the section intros for the McLaughlin Group when the good doctor came down with laryngitis (sp?), which was pretty cool. Anyway, mostly local to DC stuff. Finally got a studio set-up and I'm going to Source-Connect my way around the ISDN mess (can't get anyone who knows what the hell they're talking about on the phone at Verizon). Also working on getting an agent. Yawn. Yes, I know. Nothing exciting. Just saying Hi really. And thanks for having me!

We're glad you've moved out of "lurk" mode to "post-lurk" mode, which means we all get to benefit from your obvious experience, and in return, you get to join in on our zany-ness.

BTW, by now you know to completely disregard any posts from a Todd Ellis, and Bob Souer, and Hart, and Lizden, and Wils... and oh, the list goes on and on....

The day I can say that my voice was heard on the Discovery Channel, I can say 'I've made it!'...and then keep going, of course. Wouldn't care if it's a 10-sec promo. Just wanna say keep up the good work, and BIENVENIDO!
