|
|
Greetings, all...
Am wondering if anyone has this unit, or is familiar with it and, if so, how is it placed into the chain? I just took possession of it last night and don't quite get how it should be patched in. I want to get my understanding up to speed before I begin plugging in cords.
Existing chain is: mic > pre > mixer > D/A. I don't understand how to monitor the feed from the phone while keeping it isolated from going into the D/A, and the manual isn't very explicit on this subject.
Thanks for any advice! |

Joe,
One way is to pan your mic in the mixer to hard left and send that to your AD/DA device. You can use the right pan for the phone patch. It sounds a little weird, if your mixer supports a mono output to headphones your set.
If you are using ProTools, you can create a default template which has a send to the phone patch on the mic track. The input is an aux track that has the phone patch's output, so you can hear pretty much everything that is going on. You can use an audio track if you want to record the entire session (both sides) instead of an aux track.
Hope that helps.
