Voiceover legend CHUCK RILEY died yesterday (5/10). Born in 1940, RILEY went on to work in the '80s and '90s at such stations as HOT 97 in NEW YORK and POWER 106 in LOS ANGELES.
His longtime friend Adam Goodman of VoiceHunter.com is replacing the VoiceHunter.com homepage for a short period of time with a tribute to RILEY, so those who knew RILEY can share their stories by sending them to talent@voicehunter.com. There will be no funeral but memorial contributions are welcome to VITAS HOSPICE, c/o Charitable Fund, 16830 Ventura Blvd., Suite 315, ENCINO, CA, 91436.
Read the tribute Adam wrote and posted at his site, and you'll understand just how much one of the best in our business will be missed. _________________ Doug Turkel (tur-KELL)

Man, what a fantastic "demo"! In this day and age, 66 (or 67) is too young to go to The Great Beyond, but I'm guessing this good man will find a good VO gig there.
Long live Mr. Riley. |

Too sad. Chuck Riley had a very classic voice.
On a side note of interest, the www.voicehunter.com tribute has a photo of Chuck with a group of VO guys including... Don LaFontaine... with hair!! |
