The reason I chose a guitar for this QOS sample is the instrument has more nuances than with a simple sound file of a human voice.

Being as how I don't play the guitar, I'd be far more interested to hear a simple sound file with a human voice. Isn't that the impetus for bringing this thing to market in the first place?

No such piece of software exists, I'm afraid.

Wrong. SCO Unix had the best QA back in the day when they were making distributions for gas station pumps. Perfect distributions went out daily sans bugs.

I heard what sounded like lots of cracks and pops?

How do you know there were no bugs?

O.K., You asked for a sample of "voice-talkin" so here it is:

Click Hear!

This is a simple short session recorded live with myself - the "voicetalker", and a gentleman in Florida. The sample has been taken from the original two files (Each incoming and outgoing audio track has it's own audio file synced for exact timing and soon with SMPTE Time Code sync), and made into one mono .mp3 file for use as a sample.

This is actually a pickup for a narration I did, so it is just me... but hey...

iSpeek will soon be available for release as our iSpeek Phoenix (on a thumb drive) for both Mac and PC. You will be able to use iSpeek on your laptop, desktop, and anywhere you have a broadband internet connection.

Podcasters, radio stations interviewers, radio remotes, remote reporting, and even Voice Over artists will love the simplicity of a 48k audio file in real-time.

I am so tired of saying soon, but... within three to four weeks iSpeek will be available for sale.

I found another little bug I need to fix and then.... iSpeek is off and running (fingers. toes and eyebrows crossed).

I hope you have kept your accountant in the loop, because I have a feeling some serious sacks of money are in store for you. Think Xerox. Carbon paper worked great, but dang did they have a great idea.

Count me in if you're looking for more beta guinea pigs. (Is that redundant?)

Boy, Frank, that sounds fantastico! First time I've heard your voice here, and pretty sure I recognize you from national spots I've heard and seen.

Just don't "sell off" your software to M$ so that they quash it for Windows Media Player 26.

Unless they offer you the big bucks, then, well, have fun in your retirement!

Okay, I'll admit it, I'm impressed. But the audio has a "metallic sheen" to it that I find objectionable. It's more noticable in one voice more than the other in the demo -- and more than likely that quality would get buried in "the mix" on the other end.

But hey, I'm splitting hairs here. If that's how it sounds in real time, you're getting very close. Thanks for posting it, Frank. Have fun in Tahiti.

Thanks Jeff,

Your comment is interesting, so I did some research... and found: "...it was in the mix".

As I said, this is actually two files (incoming and outgoing) mixed into ONE mono track for listening ease. I digress.

The Gentleman I was working with was using a Perception 100 (a semi-"metallic" sounding microphone) in a very open room. His sound was a bit metallic. On the other hand, due to how iSpeek works, my sound is using my system and my U-87. As recorded, it sounds very nice (in my humble opinion).

After listening to the separate tracks I noticed the sound you indicated. The sound would "go away, as there would be no need for his voice on the final production.

So there you have it... thank all of you for listening. I will be posting more about the "launch" on the iSpeek website , more information regarding fees and charges and the operation of iSpeek will be forthcoming.

Toodles

So what your telling is... If I buy 4 beers today, by the time I drink all 4 beers, iSpeek will be available for sale?
