|
|
Hi everyone! I'm going home to Michigan (Detroit area) to visit family at the end of this week...and have a client who needs an ISDN session with me on the 13th. I'm trying to find a fellow talent with ISDN...the reason is the studios I've contacted are RIDICULOUSLY expensive! Since I have ISDN this studio I work with isn't going to pay for the ISDN session...and I'll have to eat the cost. Does anyone out there live in Michigan and have ISDN I could rent for cheap?? Or know anyone?? thanks in advance..although, I'm not holding out much hope... |

thanks guys, I only found one non-studio who would call me back. She was really nice and didn't even want payment! But she's 2.5 hours from my parents' house... The studios are ridiculous! like up to $725 and HOUR for studio + ISDN!!! My goodness, I think I'm underpriced! |

May sound obvious but had you thought about a search on the 2 pay to play sites? |

try other radio stations too.....especially the News/Talk/Sports stations. They use ISDN alot for interviews, ballgames and talk shows. |

Melissa,
I know this is probably a thought you have had already, but, have you thought about Source Connect - then bridging to the ISDN studio?

I'm unclear why you just don't charge the client?
I get that maybe you have ISDN in your home studio and maybe you normally just include/absolve the fee (would seem like your cheating yourself a bit but not my bidness as to how you price it) however you are currently not in your home studio...so for your extra efforts, the client has to pay a bit more, one time. _________________ - Peter

A good point.
I have a client for whom I usually do two TV spots each month, most of the time we do ISDN sessions from my studio. I have been doing them for a long time so normally we are done well inside the alloted hour, giving them much more editing time. They fully accept that I have a life too and on the rare occasions when I am away from base or from London, they just book the nearest local studio. Nobody has ever suggested that I pay or that its inconvenient for them. _________________ www.davidmonteath.com
