Don't ever take that opportunity for granted.

Amen.

Thoughts and prayers are with you... and a belated "happy Father's Day" to your dad.

Happy Father's Day +1 day to all you VO dads!

I thought it'd be nice to meet my dad in Rome this year, so Donata, Deidre, Dina (my 3 sisters), Mom & I decided to rendezvous there! (Oh, and Dad, too!!)
Sure, I leave Wednesday and don't get there until Thursday, but I'm willing to sacrifice.

Yesterday, I exchanged hearty Father's Day greetings with one of my fellow single, female, dog-owning friends, complimenting her on the fantastic job she's doing raising Moxie herself as both mother and father. Rolls Eyes Wink

I talked to my soon-to-be 92 year old grandpa yesterday in Texas. I asked him how his weekend was going. He told me they were running short on staff at the cotton farm, so he had to get on the tractor to clear some weeds. He said he had the time of his life (as he rarely gets to ride the tractor anymore) but he was kinda hurting...why?

HE WAS ON THE TRACTOR FOR 9 HOURS STRAIGHT!

This is a man that has outlived both his sons and his wife, us 4 grandkids are all that's left...and I'm starting to think he might survive us all!!!

This was my first Father's Day since Dad passed. Kind of bittersweet. I also got my first handmade Father's Day card from my 4 year old daughter. Her 2 year old sister "supervised".

HAHAH! Trust me- my grandpa will NEVER retire...he could have passed right there on that tractor and he would have died a happy man!

(FYI- his dad lived to 102, so we still have a ways to go!)

Hello gang...Youssef here.

After 17 years of marriage and 2 kids, I got smart and did the following:

1> Told my boss I would be HAPPY to work on Father's Day..

2> Told my wife I HAD to work on Father's Day...

3> Told my kids they didn't have to get me anything this year being that I
Had to work...

4> Mentioned to the wife that she may be seeing a $300.00 to $400.00
charge on the credit card from Sam Ash Music for some necessary
equipment upgrades...

5> Picked up the equipment that I ordered, washed the dishes, did some
laundry and invited my mom and dad to dinner 'cause I know my wife
won't kill me while there are witnesses around....now the question is:
what happens when my folks leave? Ahhhhh!

Take care all...miss ya!

ok - how's this for a thoughtful kid. My middle boy, Andrew, went to a baseball game friday night. (our local frontier league team). the 3rd baseman, chris hall, hit a homer in the 6th inning. After the game Andrew went up to Hall and told him he wanted to get his dad a bat for fathers day ... and the guy GAVE him the bat he hit the home run with! how cool is that? the forethought involved, i mean. great fathers day!

ps - please excuse the goofy look - it's my natural condition.

Rest assured... no man has ever been killed by his wife, while he is doing household chores.
