SCRIPT BUDDY UPDATED TO v.96
See it here..
http://davediamondprovo.com/sb/demo/
I'd like to offer the script to anyone interested at no charge and offer support if needed. There are plans for several more features and I'm open to suggestions as well.
You can always download the latest version of Script Buddy here:

UPDATE
Again, I have added a number of features to Script Buddy and have incremented its build status to v.96. Here's the list:
1. Now only 2 files index.php (main portion) and settings.php (your custom settings)
2. Additional Emails can now be configured and provided (comma delimited)
3. Custom parameters can be added to the character count. E.G. tpying a % would equal 7 characters, $ would equal 7, @ would equal 2 chars and so on. You can add as many references like these as you wish. Numerals are automatically converted to their respective character count.
4. Script Buddy now counts to the total number of words in addition to the total characters for each script.
Previous feature requests:
1. Field Validation COMPLETE
2. Vocal Styles (optional) COMPLETE
3. Customize Email font family, font size and accent color (optional) COMPLETE
4. Server time offset for those with a server in a different time zone (optional) COMPLETE
5. Layout has been made XHTML 1.0 compliant. COMPLETE
6. Custom templates so you can drop Script Buddy into your existing website (optional) COMPLETE
7. Multiple color schemes (optional) COMPLETE
8. User definable fields (for requesting additional information - optional) INCOMPLETE
9. Multiple email recipients (optional) COMPLETE
And as always, no database is required just PHP which is installed on 99.9% of all web servers.
and it's FREE! _________________ David

It is worth noting that all numerals should be replaced with spelled-out numbers and things like "%" need to be spelled out "per cent".
Otherwise the character counter is trying to parse out stuff that takes longer to say than is evident. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I'm not certain if this is a feature request or not but doing a server side replacement of numerals with text given there are hundreds of spoken languages on the planet seems a bit overkill for such a simple script.
This is a matter of personal preference in my experience. In the many years I've used Script Buddy I've found my clients very willing to take direction when submitting their copy. E.G. "Please write out all numerals" etc.
I once disallowed the input of numerals and instead popped up an alert that requested alphabetical sequences only. I received many flaming emails as a result. _________________ David |

No Dave, it's not a feature request.
I'm just letting people know if they give the Script Buddy a test drive, they should spell out the necessary elements. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I've worked several months on a new version of Script Buddy and I'm nearly ready to release it. I just need some testers to give me some feedback on what they see and experience using this new version.
You can visit http://www.davediamondprovo.com/sb/demo/
NEW FEATURES
#### 1. Added some basic css code to make comments stand out in paratheses.
#### 2. Email address is now a hyperlink in HTML emails
#### 3. Ajax-validation added to all fields to prevent blank emails from being sent.
#### 4. Dynamic text for required script lengths when composing a script
#### 5. Vocal styles can be requested for each individual script now.
#### 6. Better visual cues throughout the script
FEATURES PLANNED BEFORE RELEASE
#### 7. Matching color scheme HTML email (depcrecated to plain text)
#### 8. Multiple recipients (comma separated)
#### 9. User definable fields for each script or group (thanks Amy!)
CHANGES
#### 10. Removed tooltips (see #3)
#### 11. Removed the list script lengths feature (see #4)
KNOWN ISSUES
#### 11. There's an CSS issue that prevents the proper display of each section of the system in Firefox. I'm working on this now. It looks beautiful in IE. Go figure.
I've even got some surprises in store for the next release too. Check it out now. I look forward to your feedback. I'll get back to you in a jiffy. _________________ David |

Jeff,
Scripts sent in the demo go nowhere other than your email if you so choose. Send away, test away! _________________ David |
