Joe,
I also saw you on "that other place". Hehehe...
Welcome.
And Dave (COURVO) - my lawyer will be contacting you. |

Joe,
Good to have another relatively new member like myself. I've been here a short while and have learned lots about life, comradship, humor and oh, BTW a bit about VO. Seriously, this place and these folks are a precious treasure. Their generosity in sharing trade secrets and frankly, yet lovingly critiquing demos, etc. They've got a bunch of group gags you'll run into occassionally, but on the whole they're a welcoming group as you can see and you'll feel a part of the family (albeit a dysfunctional one) soon.
-Roger (you're really not supposed to talk with me either, I've been grounded by the board czar) |

Hey, there!
I didn't make Dave's list, so I'm perfectly safe. I just sit in the back and don't get in anyone's way...I come in on Sunday nights and spit-shine the microphone, that sort of thing.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I managed to get my Source Connect questions answered on the "other" board, but then realized that the responses were significantly less "cool" than I probably would have recieved had I asked the same question here. It's kinda like a Mac vs PC thing

If you'll notice my name was not mentioned therefore you can take everything I say as absolute fact. really you can TRUST ME, I wouldn't lie. Oh dadblast this arthritis. It's getting harder and harder to cross my fingers behind my back these.
cheers,

Joe, I know I've heard your voice somewhere around my neck of the woods. Have you done stuff for stations in either the St. Louis or Champaign, IL areas?
Of course, I could say this about nearly every fantastic voice here, but I just KNOW I've heard your voice before; where, well, I'm not sure.
Good stuff. Keep up the ace work. |

Welcome aboard Joe.
As Dave... excuse me... Mr. "Let's see, where am I going to put THIS Emmy." Courvo failed to mention... there are many of us on this board that pose not threat, including yours truly. Yes... there are a few of us who still choke up when we look at the bowling trophy we won in 1964... the trophy that is minus a bowling ball that broke off years ago... making others wonder if it was a bowling trophy, or an award for interpretive dance.
Enjoy the VO-BB... it has much to offer. _________________ "Bailey"

Really appreciate those kind words. I'm on WONU in Kankakee, IL, which I believe is north of Champaign... by how much, I'm not sure. That's my only guess as to where you may have heard me, unless it was on a national project, of which I haven't voiced a ton.... yet.
I spent some time today listening to the demos of most of those that replied to this thread (with the obvious expceptions of Souer, Hart, the two "Daves" (or is it three?) as well as anyone else I was warned about
Only kidding... Very nice work all! It's a pleasure to be in your virtual company. |

First step: Be wary of those you have been warned about - they are dangerous. I know - I am in that category.
Second step: Be more wary of those whom you were not warned about - they too, are dangerous!
Third step: Have fun!
Fourth step: Repeat the Third step as often as possible.
