George, I'm a singer as well. When I was making my vo demo I asked about doing some singing on it so I'll share the advice given me. Since you can really sing, and read music it's best to put together a singing demo which you can market to music production studios. Then you can hit up a whole other group of producers. You should be able to get work with your voice, and background..
Of course you can also sing on the vo demo. You never know who's listening etc.
