VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Hello everyone. I'm Brett Mason, an aspiring (...and perspiring) voice. I have humbly applied to join this august group of voice professionals, and I hope you will take the opportunity to peruse my website and give me your most valued opinions. Over the past few months, I have been diligently working behind the scenes to launch a v.o. career. Like most of you, I have
assembled a home studio, and I have developed a website, business card, postcard and CD label coordinated with the same graphic. Yes, indeedy, it displays a microphone...but while I'm up here ducking "tomatoes", I did that after much consternation. In fact, I hope you will understand that much of what you see, hear of me is a result of reading and listening to the wonderful folks on this board who generously and kindly share their knowledge and experience. I was able to attend the recent North Carolina voice talent get together in Winston-Salem, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting some of the exceptionally talented folk that I've been following on this board. I want to especially thank Bob Souer for his generosity and
advice, and I look forward to us getting to know many others from this point forward. It's nice to be out of the shadows (it was getting pretty sweaty in there). Voice on!

On behalf of the rest of us VO-BB'ers.... I apologize that your first exposure to a real-live (ahem) -- talent -- was Bob Souer. He is universally reviled and eschewed in these parts, and you'd do best to forget everything he told you.

I think we need to look into forming support group for those of us with microphone graphics on our websites.

We'll need a name. (fx: squeek) The door to many bad jokes/puns is now open.
