Thanks Todd! Right back at 'cha...and especially Happy INDEPENDENCE DAY TO CHRIS and all others in the armed forces....I was thinking of Chris and all his fellows in arms last night at our fireworks celebrations here in the Live Free or Die state...

The 4th of July always gets me teary-eyed. I got all misty on Friday when a talk show host (Glenn Beck...LOVE him) ran through the history of the signers of the Declaration of Independence ...how many lost everything...which they knew was possible when they signed. And today, our paper (ah...yes, the infamous Union Leader) had one article in the Editorial page. - the Declaration of Independence and a list of the men who signed it. I sat on the couch with my morning coffee and got all teary when I saw it. (yes, my kids did laugh at me).

I think this is an especially appropriate holiday for all of us who share the title Voice Over Talent...there is no more independent, outside the mainstream, define it as you go profession that I know of....We VOs celebrate the spirit of Independence on a daily basis. And, as we've all experienced, being in such an independent profession can also mean going down the road alone...which is why VO-BB is such a blessing to all of us...the proverbial bundle of sticks...together we're stronger.

Didn't mean to go on and on...have a SAFE (especially YOU CHRIS) and happy 4th.

moe

I add my voice to the chorus. Happy Independence Day, with a special greeting to Chris and all his brothers and sisters in harms way overseas.

Mister and Mrs Eagle are off the endangered species list now, too!!

Quote:
There are now nearly 10,000 mating pairs of bald eagles in the contiguous 48 states, compared to a documented 417 in 1963 when the bird was on the verge of extinction everywhere except in Alaska and Canada where it has continued to thrive.

The Story.

Since I'm on vacation in Los Angeles, I'm doing pretty much nothing during the day and then going to the Hollywood Bowl for a concert and fireworks. Should be fun.
