no doubt you'll find lots of small developers there, but I don't know of any big names (aside from a few satellite offices from other companies like Bioware and NCsoft). Then again, it's the small shops where you're going to be a more effective instrument of the change you want.
Since my Pesky Day Job is in video games, I'll be curious to read about your insights after the trip. _________________ Jeff

I'm rather impressed with the presence of Midway and Aspyr. Amaze is no slouch, either.
Take a look here:

I wouldn't refer to the operations in Austin as "Satellite" either! It's where the audio work is being done. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Yeah I saw that list before. I'm curious why they would separate their audio production from the rest of the game production. _________________ Jeff

I just know that the audio geeks live in Austin. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

You and me both Greg!! If even half of the stuff going on today in TX had been going on 6 years ago...I never would have left.
I just have to constantly remember....mountains...ocean...husband...
All the things I didn't have in Dallas.
[of course, I still wish I was getting the work I'd be getting there...sigh] _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Be strong, sister! I felt better last night when I had to bring a wind breaker with me to see the July 4th fireworks. That was the first time in forty-ought years of Fourths that I ever had to do that!
It was nice!

Hey, these days we're wearing windbreakers in July to ward off all this rain. (Drought? What drought?) Then, once it stops raining, you leave it on to ward off the mosquito bites. _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.

I talked to my folks in Dripping Springs and they're all keeping one eye on the ol' septic tanks out there. I heard towns down-river from Lake Travis are now getting flooded because of all the water being released.
Unreal. _________________ Greg Littlefield

I know. We've gone from bone-dry to sopping-wet. I'd settle for "mildly damp" at this point.
I'm glad the lake levels are higher, but jeez... _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.
