Oh Yeah!
When I started Kindergarten, I was one of the only kids that spoke another language at home, and so, not wanting to be differemt, I remember coming home one day and "declaring" to my mother that I wasn't going to be speaking French anymore!
Maman looked at me & said (in French) "You do what you want, but I'll always speak French to you...and I won't answer you if you speak to me in English"
Yeah...I think I lasted about a day!
What's interesting is that I have 2 older brothers.
With the Oldest one (also a VO by the way that just booked a History Channel gig!!!!) I always speak French when it comes to personal stuff.
With the Younger/Older one I speak English.
...go figure!
But when the whole family was together, it was always French...except when my Mom's mom (my Grandmother) came to visit for 4-5 months a year in the last few years of her life...then we all switched to Russian!...But THAT'S another story!!!!
