I know many have experienced seeing the satellite images from Google as I have and they are cool to look at when needed. The hybrid maps etc when you need to see where that roads goes that you never wanted to travel down to see for yourself (Wouldn't it be nice if life had some sort of similar feature).

Anyway, I just found out about Google Earth the day...or at least downloaded it and gave it a try. All I can say is Wow! You can do flyovers and even adjust the tilt angle dramatically to make it very 3-D, fly over experience. You can even turn on terrain and see mountains etc. Very cool! You will need a fast computer from it says but it amazing. I was flying around a few cities the other night and you can see some buildings (not all) if you turn on the 3D modeling feature.

I found the link while looking through some nifty program downloads at Apple.com/downloads

Here is the link if you have not seen this and want to check it out. It is for Mac and Universal format.

You should be able to download a version for PC and Mac here:

http://earth.google.com/

I just found it and thought it was really cool to fly around the Grand Canyon, Hawaii and other attractions. I even went to Portgordon, UK to see if the satellite picture captured Philip Banks on the beach with Jazz.....no luck.

Laugh

I too corresponded with Philip via email recently. And I've seen him hanging his hat (and his deliciously acerbic wit) at the VoiceOverSavvy forum at Voice123.com, now and then.
