Joe,
It's the first of those two that trips me up. I have no trouble saying the second variation, but it's the first that's requested most. <sigh> _________________ Be well,

Today's killer:
THE FAMOUS HAMPTON BEACH SEASHELL STAGE
Whiskey this early (1pm) is a no-no, but I am sorely tempted. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

('course, now that i preview my post, i can read them just fine )
but apparently the toughest words to say in combination, and be understood:
this is the fourth request for the cable tech to come out. what do you mean, you don't have a work order?
limping along in my "new" studio

I've had some clients ask me to change my read to "in-TEG-ral". Whatever. I'm to the point now that when I see the word integral in a script I break into a cold sweat. _________________ . If at first you don't succeed, then bomb disposal probably isn't for you. |

Dave,
This is no doubt integral to your experience of said script. We're setting a new record high temp here in North Carolina today (102 with about 90% humidity) so there's no such thing as cold sweat where I am...at least not right now. _________________ Be well,

Bob,
Yeah, sounds like your weather is about like Houston. The only reason for a "cold sweat" is because I keep the AC in the studio cranked down low enough to blow snowballs _________________ . If at first you don't succeed, then bomb disposal probably isn't for you. |

Dave,
Can I come stay in your studio for the rest of the summer? I'm kind of large and something of a slob so there's not much to recommend me; but I do like it cold. (The best office I ever worked in was a converted TV studio. When they turned on the A/C in there, everyone else was wearing winter parkas while I was in my short sleeved shirts!) _________________ Be well,

In a former location of the station I'm with now I had a studio that was commonly refered to as "the walk in". It would be so cold in that room that I'd walk out of work at days-end in a heavy sweatshirt with blue finger tips...on a 95 degree day. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.
